Sometimes you gotta ask yourself: "What do be aesthetic?" It's an age old philosophical question that goes back to the moment that some dude looked at a cave wall and felt his spine tingle 'cause that stickman drawing looks fuckin' siiick.

In all, I don't fucking know the answer in the metaphysical sense but in the personal sense I kinda get it. To me it's anything that looks fuckin' sick for one reason or another to you.

Like looking at the skylines of Blade Runner for the first time and getting that sense of "...oh fuck...".

So in regards to and with that in mind, imma show you some sick shit.

So first things first, this chart was made by silentchatter on reddit (yes I know reddit hahaha, fuck you) so here's the link to it: Chart

With that out of the way, I can talk about aesthetic archetypes (patent pending).

So there's at least 10000 different aesthetics that are out there and popularized to higher and lesser degrees and some are pretty cool.

That being said, I fear that the classification of aesthetics into different sub-categories invalidates the point of individual self-expression that can be mused in by figuring out your own aesthetic.
Not that I'm implying that the popularization of different aesthetics is polarizing in some way shape or form, in fact quite the opposite. They indeed help a person figure out their own aesthetics, at least I think so.

I'm of the opinion that an individual person's aesthetic is a mix match of a bunch of different influences that they have found captivating in one sense or another, somewhat similar to how some think a person is made up mostly of their environment.

To add to this thought: if aesthetics are tied to emotions then surely one person can have as many aesthetics as they have emotions, that is to say uncountable.
If aesthetics are like a hook for each emotion then being loaded with each and every one of these emotions allows for the endless joy of vibin' the fuck out to like 100 different aesthetics over the course of a month.

With that forenote to the side, I'll introduce you to some of the aesthetics I enjoy even though most are probably basic as fuck.

Also, if the chart is too small then right click it and open in a new tab. I can't be fucked making a zooming image thing... yet.
